Metatags

A metatag is a name, a comparison, and a value. Most compare with = or :, which mean the same, and those that compare numbers or dates also take <, <=, >, and >=. A - before a metatag keeps the posts it does not match, as != does. A term that reads as a metatag is never a tag.

Posts

id=1234: Post 1234.
id=1,2,3: Any of these posts, up to 100 of them.
id>1234: Posts whose IDs are above 1234.
posted=2020-01-31: Posts posted on that day, in UTC. 2020/01/31 works too.
posted=2020-01: Posts posted in January 2020; posted=2020 is the whole year.
posted<2020: Posts posted before 2020. posted>2020-01 means after January 2020, and posted<=2020-01 means before its end.
user=name: Posts that this account uploaded; poster=name is the same.
user!=name: Posts that this account did not upload.
user_id=12: Posts that the account with this ID uploaded; poster_id=12 is the same.
source=pixiv.net: Posts whose source contains the text, without its http: or https:, whatever the case of its letters A to Z.
source=any: Posts with a source; source=none finds those without.
comments>=3: Posts with at least 3 comments.
commented_by=name: Posts that this account commented on; commented_by_userno=12 names the account by its ID.
tags>=10: Posts with at least 10 tags.
charactertags>=2: Posts with at least 2 tags in the category whose prefix is character; character_tags>=2 is the same. A prefix that names no category makes the term a tag.

Favorites and votes

favorites>=5: Posts that at least 5 accounts favorited.
favorited_by=name: Posts that this account favorited; favorited_by_userno=12 names the account by its ID.
score>=3: Posts whose votes add up to at least 3. Scores go below 0 too: score<-1.
upvoted_by=name: Posts that this account voted up; downvoted_by=name finds those it voted down, and upvoted_by_id=12 and downvoted_by_id=12 name the account by its ID.

Parents and children

parent=12: The children of post 12.
parent=any: Posts with a parent; parent=none finds those without one.
child=any: Posts with children; child=none finds those without any.

Pools

pool=12: Posts in pool 12; pool_id=12 is the same.
pool=any: Posts in any pool; pool=none finds those in none.
pool_by_name=sketch_book: Posts in the pool with this title, written with underscores for spaces, whatever the case of its letters.

Notes

note=hello: Posts with a note that contains the text, whatever the case of its letters A to Z.
notes>=2: Posts with at least 2 notes.
notes_by=name: Posts with notes that this account wrote; notes_by_userno=12 names the account by its ID.

Files

width>=1920: Posts whose image is at least 1920 pixels wide; height compares the height.
size>=1920x1080: Posts whose image is at least that wide and at least that tall.
ratio=16:9: Posts whose image has that shape; ratio>1:1 finds those wider than they are tall.
filesize>2m: Posts whose file is over 2 MiB. Sizes are in bytes, or in KiB, MiB, or GiB with k, m, or g, and a b may follow: filesize<500kb.
ext=png: Posts with a file of this format, by its extension, such as jpg, avif, or jxl; see formats.
mime=image/png: The same, by media type.
content=video: Animated posts. content=image finds stills, and content=unknown posts without a file.
length>=10s: Animations that play at least 10 seconds. Lengths are in milliseconds, or in ms, s, m, h, d, or y, as in length<1m30s.
md5=…: The post whose file has this MD5 hash, 32 hexadecimal digits; hash= is the same.

Ratings

rating:safe: Safe posts. The ratings are safe, questionable, explicit, and unrated.
rating:sq: Safe and questionable posts, by their first letters; ? stands for unrated.
rating:*: Posts of every rating, including any your preferences hide.
-rating:e: Posts that are not explicit.

Sorting

Searches list the newest posts first. One order: term sorts them otherwise, and posts that sort the same go by ID, in the same direction.

order:id: Oldest first, by post ID; order:id_desc is newest first.
order:posted: By when the posts were posted, oldest first. Imported posts keep their old IDs and dates, so the two can differ.
order:width: Widest first; order:height and order:filesize sort by height and file size. Posts without a file come last.
order:width_asc: Narrowest first: _asc and _desc turn any order around.
order:favorites: Most favorited first.
order:score: Highest score first; order:numeric_score, Shimmie2's name, is the same.
order:views: Most viewed first, as the view counter counts views: once per IP address an hour.
order:random_1234: Shuffled, the same way for the same number on every page. order:random picks a number for you.
order:dailyshuffle: Shuffled differently each day.

Tag commands

In upload and tag-edit fields, these commands change the post instead of becoming tags.

parent:12, parent:none: Set or clear the parent.
child:12: Make post 12 a child of this post.
pool:12, pool:Sketch_Book, pool:lastcreated: Add to a pool by ID, title, or your newest pool.
pool:12:3: Add at position 3. A post already in the pool stays where it is.
vote:up, vote:down, vote:remove: Set or remove your vote.
rating:s, rating:safe: Set the rating by letter or name.
source:https://example.com, source:none: Set or clear the source.

= also works. Commands override matching form fields, require the same permissions, and save all or none. Invalid commands are rejected.

Upload commands apply when the post is published. pool:lastcreated resolves when the upload is finished.

In bulk tag edits, -tag removes a tag.
